It only seemed like a few years ago that my parents retired to South Carolina so they could live on a golf course and enjoy their "golden years." Now Dad has passed away and we need to find mom an assisted living for the elderly facility to help with her care. She is very stubborn and insists that she does not need any help but we know that is not true. She forgets to take her medicines, has had at least one fall, and makes us nervous knowing that she lives alone.

The option of this floor is good because if mom ever needs to move up there she can stay at the same facility.

For now, mom is active and well but just needs some occasional help from day to day. An elderly assisted living facility seems like a good choice for her. For example, they have a catholic church for Christians offer plenty of activities and outings. There is an on site gym and hair dresser. Mom will be able to play tennis and golf. She has become a good golfer since moving to South Carolina. For many of these elderly assisted living facilities part of their goal is to keep seniors active, both mentally and physically. They do this by offering plenty of activities to keep people excited to get up in the morning. The residents are encouraged to foster friendships with each other and socialize together. Some retirement communities may cost more than another based on what they have to offer, which is why financial advice is there to help you manage the costs.

For any elderly person it can be hard to adjust to life without a spouse or living away from family and friends. Assisted living for the elderly facilities make a great choice for many individuals because they are community based and offer options depending on needs.
